The Distiller Site Redevelopment
So the day has finally come that The Distiller's website comes screaming into the tech century. Partnered with LoopSolutions using the stunning web publishing platform Jigsoar, this site has come to life.
The reasons for this site update are pretty obivious. The Distiller just couldn't exist without the energy of those actively involved in the day to day running of the Distiller Lab in Dunedin originally and laterly The Distiller in Auckland. But not only these people, it's pretty obivious that this non for profit organisation just couldn't exist without the support of the various organisations and companies that give of their time, services and money. We needed to be able to say thanks to these folk and to show the world how valuable their contribution to The Distiller is.
I've got to send a huge thanks to Ben, Gerwin and Israel of Loop Solutions. Without these guys and their kick ass tech this site probably would still be on the drawing board. Testament to their incredible platform Jigsoar, we were able to take my basic HTML template and skin it to their platform, from start to finish in only a matter of hours. This incuded templating, components, blogs etc etc, all within hours. Not only have they given support to us with the use of the Jigsoar platform, but they also gave much of their time helping set up the site. Thanks guys.
So what's a tech entrepenuer start-up without talking to the outside world, and that is exactly what this platform is all about. Not only are we going to be able to advertise and talk about all of the fun and cool things we are involved with in The Distiller, each start-up now has a place within the site to be able to talk about what stages they are at, who's supporting them and the joys of being a tech entrepenuer.
Thanks for your patience, the site has take a long time to get here, but now it's here I can't wait to start using it on a a daily basis.
